Four Directions Development Corporation

Who We Are

Four Directions Development Corporation (FDDC) is a non-profit community development corporation (CDC), established in March of 2001.  FDDC, the first Native Native-governed CDC in Northern New England, has been granted tax exempt status under IRS section 501(c) (3).  FDDC is also a community development financial institution (CDFI), certified by the US Treasury, and a licensed supervised lender in Maine.

Leadership
Board of Directors and Advisory Board List

FDDC is governed by a fifteen-member Board of Directors, with representation from the five tribal communities, as well as Maine’s banking, housing, and economic development sectors. In addition, our fifteen-member advisory board brings expertise and resources to the organization. A loan committee sets lending policy and reviews and approves loan applications, while a finance committee is responsible for fiscal oversight and budget.
